About Us

The desire of Alaska Missions Conference organizers is centered on bringing the body of Christ together on the common theme of spreading the Gospel to our community and across the globe. We do this by providing an opportunity for Christ-based mission organizations to exhibit their information to the community in an atmosphere that is fun and festive. During Alaska Missions Conference Alaska 2008, about 50 exhibitors participated and we hope to increase that number in 2009.

Just a few of the activities that the Alaska Missions Conference Alaska event provides free to the community include:

• Mission’s exhibits
• Musical entertainment by local Christian artisits
• Children's activities
• Food court
• Workshops on relevant topics for people interested in missions
• Guest speakers.

A separate event, but also worth mentioning, is the Mission Banquet held in the evening following the Missions Fest.

Our Objective:

Alaska Missions Conference Alaska is a cooperative effort of various Christian churches, ministries and individuals in the Fairbanks area seeking to encourage area-wide churches to send believers to carry out the Great Commission.

Our Mission:

• To promote local mission organizations by providing them with an opportunity to exhibit the ways that Christ is working through their mission program.
• To provide them with an opportunity to share with the community of Interior Alaska what local, regional, and worldwide mission organizations are achieving here in Alaska.
• To encourage the local community to develop a heart for missions and to help people find a place where their interests and abilities can best be put to use.

Our Statement Of Faith:

1. Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
2. Jesus Christ died for our sins.
3. Jesus Christ rose from the dead.
4. Jesus Christ is the head of the church, which is His body.
5. Jesus Christ will return for His own.
